We at Blacksmith Cycle continue to be thrilled with the high-end tri bikes coming from
Quintana Roo. Next up is the new, and quite unbelievable,
Illicito.

Does the name sound like a Mexican wrestler? Maybe.
Is it also the first ever tri bike MISSING A FREAKING SEAT-STAY? Definitely.
You get QR's hidden brake technology, and their SHIFT aerodynamic technology, whereupon air-flow is relocated to the cleaner (non-drive) side of the bike, which is now made even sleeker with the amazing seat-stay removal. Higher-modulus carbon construction compared to the already impressive
CD0.1 means the Illicito is lighter to boot.

Check out the tech info on the Illicito at
QR's website and check the
youtube video below to hear Chris from QR explain the technology live from Interbike 2010.
Pricing is $3,200 for the frame / fork / brakes / headset and seatpost and can be pre-ordered for December delivery.
